While powering up, the motherboard logo appears along with options for BIOS updates and Q-flash. After entering Windows, a black screen occurs, though the motherboard indicator shows a GPU issue. Pressing the reset button resolves it, but Windows keeps showing update progress even when none exists. Could this be linked to using an HDD?

The bad hard drive might be the issue. Could you provide the complete system specifications, including the power supply unit's brand and model?

Processing unit: Ryzen 7 7700X paired with RX 6650, powered by Cougar Atlas650 16GB RAM. Storage options include a 2TB HDD from Segate and an SSD that was added later via HP 1TB drive.

Recommend cleaning both the HDD and SSD, then disconnect the HDD. Afterward, install a new Windows on the SSD. Once complete, reconnect the HDD. This setup will boost boot speed while adding an extra 2TB of slower storage. If the HDD is faulty, issues should appear immediately upon reconnection; otherwise, you might have corrupted files.
