Hello, I just received a Z690 motherboard with an 13700K, DDR5 Corsair memory and PSU. Everything is new in a Meshify 2 case. After reinstalling the DRAM and removing the CMOS battery, it still won’t boot and shows a Q code error 55. The HDMI cable isn’t connecting properly to the motherboard. The CPU and cooler seem fine. I followed all the steps, though I’m not a PC builder and this has been a challenge for me despite my experience. I don’t have an image of the issue. The Q code LED on the segment display is yellow—does that confirm the DRAM problem? Should I return it? 235638151_qcode55.mp4

You probably have to update the BIOS on the device. By default, Z690 boards don’t support 13th gen without an update. The Asus Z690-e offers a BIOS flashback feature. Get the newest BIOS from the Asus site, save it to a USB drive, and format it according to the guidelines. Insert the USB into the designated slot labeled BIOS, then press the required button. Detailed steps are available in your user manual for this process.

Was es funktionieren? Außerdem, wenn ihr 4 RAM-Sticks habt, gab es Probleme beim Posten mit XMP.

I'm facing the same problem too—I've tried resetting everything multiple times, but nothing works. I'm using the latest BIOS with flashback, but my light stays solid green instead of turning off. The components are the same: Z690-e, Corsair Dominator 5200, 13.7k.

I tested the new BIOS using a USB flash drive, which took about five minutes. After that, the system restarted properly, and I installed Windows 10 without any issues.

Did you format the USB key with FAT32? You can check by searching for a YouTube video—it has some useful tips, and there are other options you might want to try if it doesn’t work.
