I understand how pixels function; I took university classes on it. FXAA is just another type of anti-aliasing. It might be a bit more challenging for the GPU, but I haven’t really noticed that in MSI Afterburner. In fact, I ended up getting more frames with FXAA, possibly because it forces the GPU to work harder and generate more frames.

Is it still functioning properly? I haven’t seen any changes in FPS or resolution since my last experience with it.

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work. Haven't heard otherwise. I've just left -sm4 on since day one and never bothered to revert it.
