When you zoom in on the ocean, I notice these small dots, while others don’t. I’ve adjusted anti-aliasing and reshade settings, but the issue persists. It seems like I can’t see clearly enough. Photo: https://imgur.com/a/6I8Fe

It's typical. The engine works the same for all.

It's strange how my friends don't seem to have this problem.

They likely do, though it's not immediately obvious.

I've experienced it myself; it's not there. That feels strange...

I observed it across all my friends' TN monitors, each displaying the same output despite different systems. Never encountered it on a 1440p screen or IPS panel, among other types.

Adjust the Antialiasing FXAA setting to On, which lowers the pixel count.

FXAA is a specific method for reducing visual artifacts, often enabled by default on GPUs to improve performance. While it works well in many games, turning it on can cause slight delays and increase GPU usage. It can be combined with other anti-aliasing techniques, though it may add some performance overhead. This setting was useful for games like PUBG.

it doesn't shrink pixels, it just adds a bit of texture around the edges and corners to give it a rounder, smoother look. this isn't a detailed explanation—reading more would help—but essentially it's enhancing the appearance without increasing actual pixel count. your monitor resolution stays the same, like using a 4K display on a 1080p screen. the GPU renders the game in 4K and then upscales it to 1080p for better visual quality.

Consider switching to Shader Model 4 for better performance. Activate it by adding -sm4 to PUBG's launch commands.
