Issue with PC shutting down unexpectedly while using standard tasks like surfing the web
Hello,
About a year ago I assembled my PC with these specifications:
AMD Ryzen 5 7600X
ASUS TUF GAMING A620M-PLUS WIFI
ASUS GTX 1070 (installed this year in August)
PSU: Gigabyte UD750GM 750W
Crucial RAM 32GB DDR5 5600MHz
Thermalright Assassin King 120 SE CPU Cooler
Case: Cooler Master MasterBox Q300L
Since then, the system has been experiencing frequent crashes during normal tasks like browsing Chrome or simply using the mouse. Windows 10 becomes unstable, and even a simple click won’t resolve the issue. Restarting the case occasionally brings it back to life. Adding the GPU didn’t help much—it still freezes every few days. Recently, I installed three case fans (Thermalright S12), but now crashes occur very often, sometimes twice daily. All three fans are connected to a single motherboard fan header.
These problems are becoming increasingly frustrating. I suspect the PSU might be underperforming. Anyone have any insights on what could be wrong?
Thanks,
The BIOS version for your motherboard is what you need.
Your case is recognized as a suitable enclosure for your components.
Crucial RAM 32GB DDR5 5600MHz is installed.
Check if AMD's E.X.P.O is active in BIOS.
Updating the GPU didn't significantly improve performance; it still freezes intermittently.
Drivers for the GPU were installed after adding it.
Your PSU appears to be underperforming, possibly not delivering sufficient power.
If this is the case, consider obtaining a more reliable 650W PSU and test.
Windows 10 exhibits unusual behavior.
Where did you obtain the operating system installer?
