Hello! Your friend recently installed a new gaming PC and is experiencing shutdowns while playing Fortnite. It would help to determine if the problem lies with hardware or software. Here’s a summary of the parts he listed: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4vMTWD

I’m planning to try a hail marriage here and probably guess it’s tricky without checking the setup. I believe he has fortnight stored on the hard drive rather than an SSD, and the hard drive is faulty, making his files corrupted. When he launches the game, this corruption leads to strange behavior, possibly causing Windows or the system to crash.

The problem seems to stem from PSU issues or an incorrectly placed CPU cooler.

The system isn't closing even though it's restarting.

Perform a stress test and keep an eye on temperatures during the process. I think the power supply unit might be the problem, though it could also relate to temperatures or GPU drivers.

Thanks to everyone, the issue was resolved with the PSU change and everything is now working smoothly.
