The B550 motherboard isn’t powering up properly. Recently, while using my PC, it froze abruptly without any blue screen—just a complete halt on the screen I was using. This has never occurred before, and despite running this configuration for about a month, I’ve experienced no issues. I eventually had to shut it down using the back switch since the power button wouldn’t turn it off. After restarting, it froze again quickly. I initially suspected the SSD might be faulty, so I installed a new one and it worked temporarily. Then I began troubleshooting, reducing the RAM to one stick, which caused a long run of Destiny for about an hour. I tried replacing another RAM module, but it still wouldn’t show anything on the monitor next to it. I checked for updates and performed a CMOS reset along with clearing the battery.

Components
- AMD Ryzen 7 5700X
- B550 A motherboard
- 32GB Corsair Vengeance Pro 3600MHz
- RTX 2080 Super
- Corsair 1000W PSU
- 1TB Samsung SSD
- 1TB M.2 NVMe
