Overcurrent on USB, you mentioned...?
A damaged USB port might be the issue. The pins could be misaligned and the grounding on the connector might be faulty. This can cause the motherboard to shut down to prevent damage. Inspect all your USB connections. Adjust the pins of the affected port carefully—make sure they don’t touch each other or the metal casing. Avoid using that port until it’s fixed.

make sure to verify your connections first, then confirm everything functions properly.
if it doesn't work, try resetting everything?
please let me know if that helps

Overcurrent may occur with older motherboards when adjusting the clip with three pins for the fan. This situation happened to me as well. Sometimes the motherboard can trigger a false positive. Each USB port has its own fuse (if they are combined, both fuses are lost because they are connected together).

All rear USB ports display the identical message, regardless of whether anything is connected. I contacted ASUS and suggested replacing the board, thinking they might resolve the issue.

Absolutely great if they provide an RMA.
