Issue with occasional stuttering during gameplay (no impact on frame rate or performance) - Unusual solution?
It appears this problem is fairly typical in Warzone, but the solutions shared on YouTube and forums haven’t fixed it for me. The game occasionally stutters—about once every couple of minutes—but my ping stays steady between 40-60ms, with no packet loss and frames consistently at 120-141fps. I’m playing at 1440p, limited to 141 frames, and mostly using low graphics settings. CPU and GPU stats look normal: the GPU reaches around 103% usage and temperatures sit at about 70°C.
Among the common fixes tried, none have noticeably helped or hurt my performance. I installed Afterburner/Riva to check for temperature spikes or unusual CPU/Memory activity during stutters. Unfortunately, I couldn’t recreate the issue while using the Riva overlay, even after several hours of gameplay.
I’ll keep testing tonight and would appreciate any guidance. Does opening Afterburner/Riva seem like a viable solution (since I haven’t adjusted any overclocking or voltage settings)? Are there other tips you could suggest to help resolve this?
Thank you for your time, and please let me know if this helps clarify the situation.
Riva has certain adjustments that might be addressing the issue. I think Riva includes a maximum frame rate limit, which could be resolving the problem. I would experiment with the settings in Riva to see if you can control whether the issue activates and stops. This might help you understand the root cause better.
Thanks for the update, Jay. I'll review it. I wasn't aware of those modifications by RTSS.
I also have it running on a Ryzen 5950x, MSI RTX 3080, with 32GB 3200 and an SSD.
