You're experiencing confusion about your RAM setup. It seems there might be a mix-up between the BIOS detection and the Task Manager display. The issue could stem from either hardware limitations, incorrect BIOS settings, or software conflicts. Checking the physical RAM modules for proper installation and ensuring they match the specifications in both BIOS and Task Manager would help clarify the problem.

Everything appears normal. DDR means Double Data Rate, so you need to multiply by two. 1200 times two equals 2400 megahertz.

It's accurate to state 1200, everything is fine.

But it only uses 8GB of storage. Here is the SPD section too.

It displays the per-slot RAM value in CPU-Z, explaining why each slot appears as 8GB. The Task Manager in the upper-left corner shows the overall total. Your system is accurately reporting RAM size and performance. No concerns needed.

The mainboard is the central circuit board. RAM modules are placed in the designated RAM slots, typically near the CPU, with the first and third slots on either side of it.

The main issue is why the hardware is setting aside half of his RAM, even though he has 16GB available and only sees 8GB in use. You're correct that each stick runs at 1200MHz, yet the system isn't performing properly.
