Recently, my PC began experiencing issues. Initially, the screen would freeze and then return to normal. I didn’t pay much attention at first because I had installed Rainmeter, thinking it might be the cause. When the problem continued, I removed it and it didn’t disappear. Over time, the display became unresponsive and sometimes restarted itself. At times, the computer would restart on its own.
I encountered a blue screen and messages like “Video driver error.” Because I still had warranty coverage, I brought the PC to a repair shop where I took the GPU out and it functioned perfectly—no issues at all. They suggested checking the monitor, cables, and even reinstalling Windows, but the problem persisted.
Later, I visited another store that sold replacement parts. They also found no faults and advised testing the GPU. They gave me a temporary GPU for evaluation, which worked flawlessly. My original PC with the temporary GPU operated without problems, even under heavy use.
My suspicion is that the issue might lie with the GPU, possibly due to RAM problems. Before the GPU trouble, I couldn’t run both PS and Al simultaneously without issues like screen freezes. When using the temporary GPU, I could handle both apps smoothly.
I’m wondering if your experience aligns with this theory or if you have any insights about the CPU Intel i5-10400F, motherboard Asus ROG Strix B460-H, RAM Corsair Vengeance Pro, and other components listed.
GPU is having issues, as mentioned before. A RAM error wouldn't produce these problems.
