Hey there, friends. I’m trying to figure out why one of my memory cards keeps showing up as unrecognized on my PC. I’m using an I7 5820k Asus X99 board and currently have a 2nd set of Corsair LPX 2400mhz 32GB RAM kit. Originally, I had a G-Skill RGB 32GB stick, but it got sent for RMA and hasn’t arrived yet. When I tried to swap it in, only three of the eight slots worked. After five days, only three sticks are recognized. Now after three more kits, another stick is failing completely. I’m starting to think my motherboard or CPU might be causing the issue. Is this even possible? I’m really stuck—no way to get a replacement without risking more parts. I’m on a tight budget and can’t afford another $45 shipping fee if the RMA gets denied. Any advice would be a huge help. I’m worried about other components getting damaged while I wait.

It seems like you're asking about a RAM issue. Could you clarify if you want to know whether the same slot always fails, what happens when you remove two RAM sticks, and if an unrecognized stick can still work in that slot?

It's a four-module setup, and I think my troubleshooting isn't strong enough. I don't recall the exact slot from the last Corsair kit, but I'll check tomorrow to see if it matches the G skill issue. If it does, I hope I can use the five-year warranty to exchange it for a motherboard. I'm worried about paying $50 for shipping and getting rejected again.
