Hi, Your system has been running smoothly for a while, but after purchasing a new router to improve your connection, it stopped recognizing your Ethernet cable. Now the cable is marked with a large red X in the center. Could you please assist me? Thank you! Build: Cx600 msi z97 gaming 5 intel core i5 msi geforce gts 1060

Have you explored a different cable? Consider checking if your Ethernet drivers are up to date.

I've experimented with various cables but haven't updated the Ethernet driver yet. I'm still getting familiar with this process. Could you walk me through it? Thanks!

Search for your motherboard, visit its official site, navigate to the downloads section, select the Ethernet driver, and execute the installer.
