Issue with MSI MAG B550 gaming edge Wi-Fi BIOS
Hello Everyone, I am having a weird issue with my MSI MAG B550 GAMING EDGE WIFI. Every time I want to get into the bios. There is no display and after I even reset the BIOS by removing the battery and jumping the clear CMOS button nothing happens. I have even flashed the bios to an older version still nothing happens. The motherboard continues with the boot with all the debug leds turning off. I got it brand new on Amazon.ca. Pc specs: 1. Ryzen 7 3800X 2.16GB crucial Ballistics 3200MHZ 3. DUAL RX 580 8GB 4. 850 watt thermaltake Gold plus rating Current Motherboard Bios version from Factory 1.40 . Help. I can't even change the ram speed.
Hi, I know this discussion is quite old, but I kept running into the same problem and couldn't locate a solution anywhere. This was one of the first links that appeared when searching for the issue. My experience: The computer starts up normally to Windows but fails to enter BIOS, showing a black screen. The system details were MB: mpg b550 gaming edge, GPU: gtx 1060, 6GB RAM. What I discovered: Many users with this issue share that their graphics card is outdated relative to other parts. I tried accessing BIOS from the main screen (2560x1440 via HDD cable), but nothing worked. Later, I attempted it on a lower-resolution display (1920x1080 with VGA cable) because I recalled the GPU being a factor. On that setup, I finally accessed the BIOS and entered it successfully. Sorry for bringing this back up after all these years—most discussions about this problem ended without answers, so I thought it’d be better to contribute here instead of creating new noise. I’m not sure if this will help others, but hoping it could assist someone.
