I’ve been working on fixing the short circuit problem and removed the motherboard from the case. I inspected the standoffs inside the case and noticed they could be tightened more with a nut driver instead of the tool provided with the board. Could the space between the standoff and the case be causing the issue? I haven’t yet reinstalled the motherboard.

It shouldn't be an issue. As you grow stronger, you'll notice you can handle more pressure by using excessive force. Simply being able to tighten something tighter doesn't automatically mean you should or demonstrate your strength.

It seems there was a discrepancy between the earlier discussion and this situation. I noticed the case had a wire tie on the front fans, which I swapped with velcro. The connection behind the PCB (on the right panel side) is unclear. Not sure if either fix fully solved the problem. Hope it works out.
