Good morning and happy holidays to all. Thank you for reviewing my update, seeking some assistance. After twelve years of planning and owning a 3090, I finally assembled the remaining parts for a gaming PC. The setup includes: B650 Aorus Elite AX board, AMD 7800 X3D CPU, Corsair 32GB RAM (6000 MHz), Zotac Gaming 3090 GPU. I’m facing a couple of problems: updating my BIOS and experiencing issues with the system after resetting. When I open BIOS, it displays version FB dated 07/10/2023. Research suggests switching to BIOS version B7 would be safer, so I downloaded the update from Gigabyte and extracted it onto a pre-formatted flash drive. The main concern is that older BIOS versions might damage the AMD X3D chips, and my PC freezes completely after a game session or even when browsing the web. I’ve tested Cyberpunk for a few hours and the performance looks good, but switching games or checking the internet causes it to crash entirely. I’m hoping the BIOS update will safeguard the CPU and resolve this stability issue. Thank you for reading, and I wish everyone a wonderful Christmas!

Read the instructions thoroughly. Ensure all details match precisely, like correct USB port and file names. Any mistake may prevent the process from working.

So an update, i didn't realize that i needed to have a 32 gig partition in order to format in fat32. I formatted the 128 I have to have a 32 gig partition that was then formatted into the fat32 format. Extracted the bios update to the flash drive and it now shows up when I go into the bios to qflash. Problem is it said there was an error with the file now.....

The latest update is revision 1.2, but I mistakenly tried the wrong BIOS update. Now I'm unsure if I should go to BIOS FB or not.
