I recently assembled a new machine about a week ago and began testing it with tough games. I’m seeing 15-20 frames per second in Minecraft at 10 chunks using the SEUS Ultra latest release. Online benchmarks for this setup don’t align, even when I allocate 12GB of RAM. I’m trying to identify what might be causing the issues. My system includes a Ryzen 1600 OC running at 3.7GHz, a Zotac GTX 1060 with 6GB mini 16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX at 3000MHz (OC to 3333). In the task manager, RAM consumption is high but still leaves some space, and the CPU seems to struggle. NOTE: performance drops noticeably at 1080p, only reaching around 50fps at 720p.

Check your GPU activity, install Msi Afterburner, and observe its performance during gameplay. You're likely pushing your GPU to its limits with the mods.

Turn off advanced optimization options in Optifine, such as lazy chunk loading.

Absolutely none of this has ever happened to me either. I'm still figuring it out on my dual Xeon 1080Ti systems!

The Msi Afterburner isn't working on your PC. You attempted to install it and launch it, but you're seeing a black screen instead.

I'm assuming everything is set up correctly. First, monitor GPU usage; if it's high, reduce the workload gradually one at a time and observe improvement. Disable unnecessary cloud services—they're not useful—and adjust other settings, turning them off or lowering their impact as needed.

HWmonitor can also be used in this way.

I suggest Open Hardware Monitor. It's essentially identical but completely free, no trials or unnecessary features.

I noticed the GPU usage is elevated. To resolve this, you might need to adjust settings or check for bottlenecks. Seeing similar FPS on other rigs suggests a potential hardware or configuration issue that requires further investigation.
