Issue with Minecraft lag in a single area of the server.
Hey, I’m here trying to make sense of this. On one of my MC servers, there’s a particular section where the FPS drops dramatically. It’s not just in that spot—other areas also suffer—but it’s the worst. I looked into it and was using Shaders with a texture pack. Without them, the drop went from about 70 to around 21 FPS. I tested without those tools and saw an even steeper fall from roughly 280 to 19 FPS. I checked other sections too; they didn’t show the same problem. There are lots of villagers, chests, and item frames there, but in other places with similar content it doesn’t lag that much. I also looked at underground farms and removed those items, but nothing changed. The debug screen showed a huge spike in “E” values in that area—main spawn around 280K, but that spot jumped to nearly 500K. Still can’t find those entities. I tried increasing RAM and tweaking settings, but nothing helped. Notably, my PC specs are solid: Ryzen 9 3900X, 32GB RAM, G.Skill Trident Z Neo @ 3600 (DOCP), using a Samsung 512GB SSD with an OC via Afterburner—stable. No issues there either. It’s not RAM, GPU, or CPU that hit max, and I haven’t experienced this much lag on other servers or in single-threaded play. The owner said the server side was fine, so maybe it’s not the hardware itself. I’m stuck right now. If you have any more details to share once I’m home, I’d really appreciate it.
