I purchased fresh RAM and installed it in a different memory slot, using the same 8GB size as the other unit. I performed two installation attempts just to set everything up properly. After each fix, my system reports 16GB installed, but when I come back home the installed amount drops to 8GB and the hardware reserve also shows 8GB. During startup, the motherboard makes a buzzing sound, the RAM indicator lights up, then it stops and turns off with a flash. It restarts with 8GB RAM. What’s going wrong?

Sounds like a hardware issue. Do you have another system you can test the RAM in?

I don't agree, I mentioned everything works after installation but restarts cause it to revert to memory reserve again. I fixed it once, then after two days it happened again.

Hardware issues can change quickly. Would you like to run MemTest86? If it reports many errors, it might mean the CPU, motherboard, or RAM needs replacing. Often the CPU is okay. You could also try booting with just the new drive, assuming it registered correctly before. If your system doesn’t start or shows strange values, the problem likely lies between the motherboard and RAM.
