Hi, I heard your MacBook Pro's HDD stopped working recently. You're trying to reinstall macOS but it didn't go through. Are you thinking about checking for a working DMG installation file for your MacBook Pro model? Or would you like some guidance on the reinstallation process?

It depends on the age of your Mac. Internet Recovery is available on newer models, but may not be supported on older systems.

Use an SSD instead of the traditional HDD. You can obtain the official macOS installers from Apple here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211683

No one of those installers is working for me either. The transmac isn't handling it correctly, or maybe you need some tips on how to burn the dmg to USB using Windows.

@DrMacintosh ?? It seems the top choice might be using another person's Mac and connecting it via USB.

The only functioning version is Mac OS X Lion, though it crashes after about 30 seconds of loading.

No, I don’t have access to a functional Mac for creating an installation drive.

Set up Linux on the device. Suggest using MX or Antix.
