Issue with lower-than-expected frame rate in Overwatch
I recently acquired a GeForce RTX 3070 GAMING OC 8G, AMD Ryzen 5 2600 at 4.2GHz with liquid cooling, Corsair 16GB DDR4 Vengeance 3000Mhz, Gigabyte B450 AORUS PRO WIFI, Corsair CXM 750W power supply, and an SSD. I purchased a 3070 and a 240Hz monitor in the hope of achieving smooth 240fps performance in Overwatch, though my frame rate remains around 200 fps, similar to my GTX980. My GPU utilization is between 30-40%, while CPU usage stays around 50-60% with only one or two cores hitting 85%. Someone suggested that an Intel CPU might offer better FPS in CPU-heavy games like Overwatch, noting it doesn’t fully utilize hyperthreading. If CPU performance is the issue, do you have any recommendations for a CPU in that price range?
