Hey, I understand you're having trouble with your Lian Li UNI FAN TL LCDs. It sounds like the fans aren't spinning even though the display shows the logo, and the software isn't recognizing them properly. You've tried different USB ports on the controller, but the PC still doesn’t detect the fans. It might be worth checking if the CAM software from your NZXT Kraken Elite or LED Strip is causing interference. Could you confirm the ports are correctly connected and try a different one? Let me know what you find!

I discovered the USB device isn't being recognized, showing an error about a failed descriptor request. It seems the controller might be malfunctioning. All drivers and USB controllers appear to be up to date...

Have you refreshed the controller settings? Were you using port 1 for fan connections? Did you connect three separate SATA power cables from the PSU to the controller? Were the argb and PWM cables linked to the mainboard? Did you attach the USB2 cable directly to an onboard port or through a hub/splitter? You should have a full USB2 port—two USB ports since each row is a USBBA port.

The Controller isn't being updated because Windows doesn't recognize it, as stated on the site. It wasn't connected to the first port since it couldn't manage the LCD fans. The power comes from a 6-pin adapter I connected, along with different cables and slots from my PowerSupply. PWM and ARGB were set up, and I didn't use a hub or splitter for USB, instead plugging it directly into one of the three headers on my NZXT B650E.

You're using the most recent version of Lconnect and running it with administrator privileges. If you're still facing issues, please reach out to Lian Li support—they've been very helpful so far. When a fan failed, they provided four new units since it was a stack of four that didn't work properly.

Confirmed. Current update and admin status. The seller believes the device is faulty and will replace it. I’m looking forward to it functioning properly.

if you're still facing issues, I recommend reaching out to Lian Li support. They've been very helpful for me. when a fan failed, they provided four replacement units since it was a stack of four that didn't work properly. Being in Taiwan, their team addressed the problem from across the globe.

That's very helpful to understand. I'll let you know if the new controller functions properly. Also, it seems the fans activate when the controller isn't connected via USB, which might be a safety measure. From what I watched in videos, they sometimes pugged the fans during operation and the LEDs lit up briefly. This suggests they work correctly with a proper controller or software connection.

So. Once the first replacement Controller was lost during shipping, I got a new one and it finally functioned properly. However, there were still some issues. When I started Windows, the system didn’t recognize the Controller at all. I had to remove it from the Device Manager and reinstall it using L-Connect Open. After updating and restarting the device, everything worked correctly!

It took them a week to get back to you. I sent an email about a week ago explaining that one of my tl lcd fans wasn’t working and there’s no response yet. One of these fans stopped working after just a month, and now it doesn’t receive any USB signals. It displays the lian li logo but shows no RGB colors—it only runs at maximum fan speed constantly, never stopping unless I completely shut down my case. It feels like a regular fan getting full power all the time. Originally it was in the front of the three-fan group, but I moved it to the back because it wasn’t sending any signal except power. It’s frustrating since I have to run this fan at full blast all the time and it costs about 52 dollars. This happened after I left my case on Puke RGB for 20 minutes while I was leaving the room.
