Issue with Lexmark printer toner/drum?
I own a Lexmark XS463de mono laser printer. It has been experiencing print quality problems, with prints looking dirty. After removing the cartridge and cleaning the drum, which was quite dirty, I put it back in but saw no improvement. Cleaning the drum again didn’t help either. It seems the drum gets soiled right away. Additionally, when I installed the cartridge into the drum mechanism, the four round wheels didn’t fully seat properly, even though there doesn’t appear to be a way to make them more tightly fit. The printer still works fine otherwise. If the cartridge wasn’t seated correctly, it’s unlikely the printer would print at all. Any advice or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.
The drum is almost new, which is why I changed it when I got the printer. The cartridge is only halfway full and is a Lexmark extra capacity model, so I’m hesitant to discard it unless there’s another option I haven’t considered.
When I inserted the cartridge into the drum mechanism, the four round wheels didn't fully engage. Could this be due to worn wheels, printer age, or possibly pages printed?
Are you sure the toner cartridge is an official Lexmark product and not a third-party or refurbished one?

Hi. The emulation page count is around 35,000. It also mentions a total of 138,128 printed sheets, which might be the more accurate figure. The original drum had some wear, but after replacing it everything functioned properly. My brother purchased a printer at a local shop and I got it a few years ago; it worked well back then. I plan to include four images: one showing the printout with darkness, another of the wheels not fully seated in the drum, a third of the clips at the bottom confirming full seating, and a final shot of the cartridge label indicating it's OEM. I would first investigate the reason the wheels fail to fully engage with the drum system. This could involve checking for physical blockages or discrepancies in size or dimensions.
The obvious lines in the printed picture point to a significantly worn drum or drum cleaning blade (possibly both). Changing just one or both should help.
The drum is brand new. I searched for a replacement cleaning blade online but was unable to locate any available for purchase.
