It’s important to note that simply swapping the capacitor might not fix the issue. Other parts could be damaged or faulty, such as MOSFETs or the battery charger IC. A thorough check is needed to identify additional components that may require replacement.
Examine your RAM shielding to check its proximity to the cap. Take another glance at the upper right corner for any tape covering it. Notice the small grounding pad on the metal RAM shielding and observe where it connects when the bottom is secured. Is it touching the metal or the plastic side of the case?
