Issue with launching Rocket League in Epic Launcher
Issue with launching Rocket League in Epic Launcher
I received a mid-range machine with these details: processor – Intel Core i7 8700 @ 3.20GHz, coffee lake 14nm, video card – NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060, 6GB RAM at 2666MHz. After deleting and reinstalling the OS, it failed to launch and display nothing. I attempted various fixes using my knowledge but couldn’t resolve it. I’m unsure if I missed something, but I’m sure it was just a minor oversight. All I know is it’s now working properly. The task manager shows the game loading normally below the Epic launcher, which closes without any output. I tried several steps: verifying files, reinstalling the game, updating Epic launcher, reinstalling Windows 10, updating C++ and .NET, changing power settings, opening in Rapid, updating GPU and drivers, checking Steam, sharing the game with a friend, contacting support, and even trying a fresh Windows install. Steam wasn’t available. One suggestion from a friend helped – the game worked after I shared the file from a different drive. I’m still reaching out for help. Thank you for your time. Hope this clears things up!
The issue has been present for a while, and sometimes you have to launch the game twice before it works. I even needed to try over five times at one point.
Have you looked into updating your drivers for the CPU, GPU, or other components? It’s always a good idea to verify. If you’re unsure, you could also send Epic Games a support request—they might have useful information. Epic Games has historically had a very basic launcher, so this isn’t surprising. It’s possible an update for Rocket League introduced an issue, though I’m not familiar with that game.
I believe I identified your issue. However, honestly, Steam is significantly superior.
Consider this challenging part, but I just want to enjoy the game I love :C
