Hello everyone, I'm facing a particular problem with my old laptop (HP EliteBook G2 X360). I recently attempted to re-paste the CPU, having done it on many other machines. I removed a thin black tape from the vent above the fan. After reassembling the laptop carefully, I turned it on and the CPU fan immediately increased to maximum speed and remained stuck there. I cleaned everything, reinstalled all drivers, and even installed a fresh Windows OS. Despite these efforts, the fans are still making a high-pitched whine. If anyone has any advice or insights, I'd really appreciate it.
