As previously noted, there are many possibilities involved.
If you lack the skills or interest to install a PCIe card, I’ll restate my earlier advice—opt for a USB gigabit Ethernet adapter. Plug it in and it should function properly.
If it doesn’t work and you can’t obtain a refund, you’ve likely wasted just £8.99.
I recently purchased the model mentioned and found it to be a solid, well-built product that performs well.
