Issue with keyboard and mouse connection during gameplay
Issue with keyboard and mouse connection during gameplay
I purchased a computer from micro center and began using it for gaming. The mouse and keyboard would intermittently disconnect, reconnect, and sometimes stop working altogether. Sound input also experienced disconnections. Occasionally, both devices would fail randomly after about 5 to 6 seconds. No other components affected by USB power were impacted. After returning it, the manufacturer replaced the motherboard, claiming the issue was resolved. However, the problem reappeared after a month. Now that time has passed, I’m considering warranty replacement. I’m wondering if there’s anything else I can do besides replacing parts, especially since I’ve already updated drivers and disabled power-saving features. I’m using a Razer Viper Ultimate mouse and a Razer Ornata Chroma keyboard. I turned off the feature that allows the computer to shut down devices to save power. I’m playing Call of Duty and various MMO games.

Hey. I faced a similar issue. My computer from Canada Computers would either work or fail when plugging two devices into the front USB ports of my case. They eventually fixed it by rearranging the wiring, which resolved the problem for me. I'm not an expert, but it might be worth a shot.
