Issue with Kernel Power ID 41 causing PC shutdown during startup or game play
There has been an unusual occurrence with my system. Recently, I attempted to open CS2 and the computer crashed abruptly. Sometimes it works, other times it fails completely. I can enter games or even start matches, but the issues are unpredictable—sometimes the PC shuts down just by opening CS2, at other times I can play a match without problems. I received a Kernel-Power ID 41 event, which indicates a full crash. I cleaned my hardware, replaced the thermal paste on the GPU and CPU, and purchased a new CPU cooler due to overheating. My motherboard, CPU, and RAM are all less than 1.5 years old. My specs include a Ryzen 5600, 16GB RAM at 3200MHz, GTX 960 with 4GB VRAM, and I don’t remember the exact board model. I ran AIDA64 Extreme and Furmark tests without issues, but when trying to play CS2 or GTA5, my PC still crashes. Any assistance would be appreciated.
Evaluate whether overheating occurs or the PC protection activates (such as shutdown). Monitor CPU and GPU temperatures with MSI afterburner. Locate your PSU model name, which is displayed on the PSU information label. Alternatively, submit a photo of the PSU info label to imgur.com and share the link.
