Hello, I've been attempting to set up Kali Linux on this old Toshiba Satelite L300. The system frequently displays an error saying it cannot boot UEFI, which might explain the issue. Additionally, you're using a 19V 3.4A power supply instead of the recommended 19V 3.9A one—are you making a risky choice?

Hello, I'm having trouble installing Kali Linux on my old Dell Latitude D600. The system keeps showing the message "exF Remove disks or other media."

It should indicate missing operating system. The count fits, but strange character changes often point to poor RAM or VRAM affecting performance. You’d need an OS/ISO compatible with BIOS. Trying Ventoy in legacy mode on USB and using the ISO could help if the problem isn’t just hardware failure.

It looks like you didn't create the bootable image yet. Just copy the ISO file onto the stick.
