I set up the networking equipment and checked it on his laptop—speed was exceptional, far exceeding the 50mb/s I normally see. Restarted several times without any issues.

The cable was crafted from Cat5e and trimmed to fit, with connectors added. However, it works fine on two laptops but not on this particular PC.

Occasionally, Cat5e can make auto negotiate much less efficient, resulting in lower speeds like 100mbps instead of the expected 1gbps. Usually, switching to Cat 6 cables resolves the problem.

Have you experimented with connecting to another port on your router? It's possible your computer has a preference for a specific port.

Consider refreshing your profiles and ensuring the most recent network drivers are active. Once done, I would proceed accordingly.
