Yeah, it’s pretty straightforward to turn off the afterburner for 5 to 10 minutes each time you install a driver. I didn’t really think about it, but this could be a problem.
I’m giving it another go now. Also, I’m installing the driver using nvidia slim to avoid any nvidia telemetry being installed, and so on.
There are many videos about Nvidia bloat and FPS improvements on YouTube.
For me, a fact is that after rebooting, something loads and my latency becomes more noticeable.
This must be a conflict with a service that only loads later, or it’s a problem caused by the setup itself, which only works after a reboot. Since right after the driver setup I see low latencies.
I was hoping to figure out exactly what’s causing it.
