Issue with HDMI switcher not responding. Problem resolved.
I ordered a fresh monitor (Acer XV240Y, 1080p 144Hz) to link with my consoles (PS5, Xbox, Switch). It seems the setup isn’t working except for the Nintendo Switch. I used a specific arrangement, which I documented here: https://imgur.com/a/yyFHQ0W. After some troubleshooting, I realized the issue isn’t with my old monitor but with the new one. The problem likely lies in how the consoles recognize the display or the HDMI setup. I tried using a different HDMI switcher and found it resolved the issue, but only when connecting directly. Now I’m hoping the new monitor has a compatibility quirk. Thanks for your help!
After some time fixing the problem, I connected the consoles straight to the Capture Card and then to the Acer Monitor. It didn’t work, only a black screen appeared. Later, I checked the Video Output settings and noticed the console was showing 4K on the capture card. After switching it to 1080p, everything functioned properly. That’s unusual—I usually don’t encounter the console automatically outputting 4K to a 1080p display.
