Issue with HDD and SATA power cable.
It started when I powered on my PC and opened a program, which displayed a warning about the shortcut not finding its source file. I examined the disk management and noticed the HDD was offline. A pop-up asked me to pick between MBR and GPT for initializing the drive, but it didn’t make any changes regardless of the selection. The SSD already had the operating system installed. After turning off the PC, I connected the HDD one at a time using empty SATA ports, checking BIOS each time to confirm detection. It wasn’t found in all attempts. Eventually, I swapped the power cables—switching from A (HDD) to B (SSD)—which resolved the issue and both devices were detected. To understand the problem better, I reverted the connections and observed the same outcome. I believe the issue lies with the HDD not receiving enough power, possibly because it requires more than the SSD can provide, though this shouldn’t be the case. This shouldn’t occur, right? Should my SMPS be failing? Could it worsen and affect other components if I don’t fix it soon?

Thank you for bringing that to attention. I was unaware of the fake wattage but understood its impact. A local computer repair shop installed it six or seven years ago, and I had limited knowledge about PSUs and computer components at the time. I’m hoping upgrading will resolve my issue.
PN850M isn't ideal for an ATX3.1 model, but it's significantly better than the previous one.
