After completing the download of GTA V on EpicGames, the app began checking and then became unresponsive. I had to close it forcefully. When I reopened it, it would verify up to 26% and then stop (read speed drops to 0.0 B). The downloaded folder size is 89.0 GB, but Epic Games claimed it was 94 GB. I’m unsure what’s causing the discrepancy.

Checking the purchase? That’s odd, my one just confirmed the transaction and then I downloaded it. You need to open the game in the Epic Games Launcher for it to download the Rockstar launcher. Whenever you want to play, launch it through Epic Games or the desktop icon. Also, make sure your Epic Games account is linked to your Rockstar account so Rockstar can confirm you’ve bought the game.

Checking post-download, verification remains paused at 26%. Reading speed drops to zero each time I try again.

The GTA V folder downloaded from Epic Games was 89 GB. It seems the download might have been affected by corruption.

Mines are functioning just fine. I haven't tried the online version yet.

Play the game using the epic launcher, which will fetch the Rockstar launcher. Sign in or create an account for the launcher, then start the game via the desktop shortcut. It will prompt you to connect your Epic account to the Rockstar account before launching through the desktop icon.

I'm facing the same issue too. The GTAV folder is 89 GB, but I'm stuck at 54% verification. Starting from Epic Games Store seems like the right approach, though it's frustrating since I can't launch the game without confirming its presence. I've tried opening it through Rockstar Social Club, but it shows no GTA V file. I'm getting tired of this verification process and have considered deleting both Epic Games Store and GTAV for now.
