100c marks the place where most Intel CPUs tend to shut down, which suggests they’re likely throttling quite a bit. I’ve got a 4670k with a stock cooler, and I’ve even reached 4.5GHz while running at 60-70°C under load. Are you confident the thermal paste was applied properly? Have you cleaned the heatsink?
I blew it out and cleaned it up; everything looks good now. I just got the EVO 212, so hopefully that helps.
