Hello everyone, my PC runs an RTX 3080 with a Ryzen 7 5800X and 32GB RAM. All games run smoothly except GTA V which keeps freezing around the middle of sessions. It doesn’t crash at first but after about 30-40 minutes it stops working. Temperatures are normal, even when I tried lowering the clock speed. Anyone have any ideas or solutions for this issue? Have you experienced similar problems before? My graphics card is Asus TUF RTX 3080, power supply is 850W Fortron HYDRO G 850 PRO 80PLUS GOLD. This post is from the gaming section, but I thought I’d share it here if I didn’t find a clear answer.

I believe i have, but you need to answer these questions for me: Is it a CTD (Crash to desktop)? Meaning that the game just closes and there is no error pop-up window or anything Check event viewer for me, and tell me what the error code is And whats your exact memory and motherboard model?

It is CTD. Motherboard: ASUS TUF GAMING X570-PLUS (WIFI). RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury DDR4 32GB 3200MHz CL16 (2x16GB). What exactly are you looking for in the event viewer?

After the game crashes, open Event Viewer using the Windows search bar. Go to "Windows Logs," then select "Application" and search for related entries. Click on the relevant item to view error details. Ideally, take a screenshot of the issue and include it in your reply. Remember to do this immediately after the crash.

This kind of troubleshooting can really take a long time—days or even months to fix. Thanks for handling it yourself!

Hi, I'm facing the same problem too and it's been really frustrating lately. Could you tell me what you did to resolve it? @simon01920
