It's clearly a rockstar enhancing the old games to make them glitchier, encouraging you to purchase the newer versions. Obviously (lol, if you thought so, I'm just teasing).

Check your GTA 5 installation and ensure everything is current. Look into the game cache and drivers; updating them could resolve the issue.

That's all. I won't purchase any games from Rockstar now. Thanks for your assistance @ShadowCaptain, @Sauron, and everyone in the earlier discussion, but it didn't work. Playing at 800x600 feels terrible on a 970 STRIX. Does Steam offer refunds?
