Hi, your refurbished HP Pro/EliteDesk 600 G3 SFF is working fine at first but overheats during gaming. The temperature spikes to around 92-93°C and causes crashes. You adjusted the fans and it still happens. The thermal paste looks good, but you might want to reapply it. Since your build has limited airflow and only draws 35-40 watts with a single fan, consider adding more cooling solutions like a better case fan or liquid cooling if possible. You examined the thermal paste while keeping the heatsink in place.
It seems the card was disassembled. The fan appears to be spinning, but if repaste isn't working, could a cooler be installed nearby to help with cooling?
I managed to disassemble the GPU and check the old thermal paste application. I adjusted the fan speeds in Afterburner and thought it would help since I hadn’t noticed the fans spinning before, especially while wearing headphones. Adding more fans is still something I’m working through. The case doesn’t seem to accommodate them well.
Turns out it was air flow issue due to the ProDesk being a lame office PC . I removed the top panel and it runs between 60 and 70 Celsius instead of 87-93 Celsius like it was before. This is great news! Now I know nothing is wrong with the GPU or other components.
