I recently replaced my motherboard with an ASRock Z77 and installed 16GB DDR3 RAM using GSKILL RipJawsx. After setting up the new R9 290 GPU, I’m not getting any display signals and my motherboard is displaying an A2 error.

Moved to Troubleshooting This information is incomplete. What upgrades were made? Is the Z77 a new motherboard? You can consult the motherboard manual for details on that error. For the monitor, perform standard troubleshooting: reinsert GPU, ensure all connections are secure and properly clipped. If the GPU fan operates and displays an image, verify the cable is fully connected and the monitor is set to the correct input. Test with the integrated graphics card to confirm functionality.

Inspect every plug and IDE detection issue, which might indicate a broader problem. A possible fix could involve updating the BIOS. If you reach the BIOS menu, apply the update and test whether the A2 error is resolved. Start with simple checks before moving on.
