Hello everyone! I'm trying to fix a problem with my new PC setup. I'm seeing a consistent error code on the Gigabyte X870 AORUS Elite WIFI 7 board. The debug LED keeps flashing code 08 after the system starts, starting with code A0 for a short time. Once it stabilizes, it stays on 08. Everything else seems normal—no crashes, performance issues, or other messages appear.

My specs are: case Corsair 3500X ARGB TG, GPU MSI GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Shadow 3X OC, CPU AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, cooler Corsair Nautilus 240 ARGB AIO, RAM Corsair Vengeance 32 GB DDR5 6000 MT/s, SSD Samsung 990 Pro 2 TB M.2, power supply Corsair RM850e 850W ATX 3.1 GOLD.

I've checked forums but haven't found a clear solution. Some people say it's a firmware glitch, others think there might be a more serious problem. Any advice or information would be really helpful!

This seems odd since the manual doesn’t list "O8" or "08" in the error codes. You can find explanations starting from page 39 on Gigabyte’s site. It might be a "D8" but it stands for invalid password—probably a typo, as it should show "d8" in lowercase if it’s a D. It could be a bug, or your BIOS might not be updated.

Did you find that page yet? The discussion on Reddit suggests someone fixed a Postcode 08 issue using Gigabyte Control Center V24.07.02.01. It looks like others have faced the same problem, so it might not be a new or unique solution. Updated May 9, 2025 by leclod.
