Hello everyone
I have Gears 5 from my Microsoft account, so I download it through the Microsoft store or Xbox app. Yesterday, when I opened the game as usual, a new window appeared that had never shown before.
The message stated the update was "Completed," but it stopped there. If I close the window and restart the game, the same window reappears... creating a loop.
I've tried different solutions, such as reinstalling the game twice, running it as administrator, logging into my Microsoft account again, resetting the app in Windows settings, clearing and reinstalling the Microsoft Store cache, and more.
I've attached a video showing exactly what happens when I run the game.

When it was reinstalled or updated, did it mention version 1.1.64? I wanted to check because a user on the official Gears forum mentioned that the MS Store had been using the old 1.1.62 version for updates and complete DLs for some time.

If it was 1.1.62 or you're unsure, unfortunately you'll need to uninstall, redownload, and reinstall again, since the old version might have been installed by mistake.

I have reinstalled the game several times before, and it always turned out the same.
According to the Xbox app, the installation details show version 1.1.967.0.
That thread isn’t up to date, so it seems the versions have changed even though the game no longer gets updates.
The screen you see in the video remains the only thing I notice while playing.

I managed to play, though I believe as discussed in the thread you shared, I need to use the "Check and Repair" feature in the Xbox app under the manage section. This update is 1.3GB, and after installing it, a new window appears warning me to "Install dependencies," which I ignore and then launch the game. This is merely a patch fix, and it’s frustrating since I have to repeat this process each time I want to play.
