You can achieve higher FPS in Far Cry 4 with a 60 Hz monitor by optimizing settings and using tools like MSI After Burner. Adjust your display calibration, reduce graphical effects, and consider enabling VSync manually. For better performance, ensure your graphics card supports higher resolutions and resolutions up to 1440p or higher.

It seems the 270x might not be suitable for the task.

The game runs at 60fps due to its connection with the FPS mechanics

Adjusting the settings and then seeing it reach 60 seems correct.

It wouldn't really make a difference if your monitor runs at 60Hz because the refresh rate stays the same. The goal is still to exceed 60fps for smoother performance. You aim for higher frame rates to keep things fluid, not just match the display's refresh speed.

Could be because I prefer high FPS scores on my screen.

If you're interested, I recommend the Sims 3 loading screen. It delivers around 2000fps, which means your GPU's HDMI port might get a bit stressed. LOL

I’m unsure of the game you’re playing, but identify the next lowest resolution your screen shows and test it without VSync enabled while keeping all other settings unchanged.
