Hello, I’m trying to confirm if this placement is correct. When I pause a game like Sea of Thieves, my CPU fan speed fluctuates—rising, then dropping and reversing. I observed that CPU utilization stayed consistent, likely linked to IAStorDataSvc or Intel Rapid Storage. Removing it resolved the issue.

My questions:
1 / Is this typical behavior?
2 / Should I still use this technology?

PC details: Windows 10 Family 64-bit (build 10.0.17134), motherboard Gigabyte Z370 AORUS Gaming 7 (BIOS F6), CPU Intel Core i7-8700K 3.70 GHz U3E1 (Intel64 Family 6 Model 158 Stepping 10), RAM total 16 GB.

Bank 1: CMK16GX4M2Z2666C16 (8 GB)
Bank 3: CMK16GX4M2Z2666C16 (8 GB)
Total: 2.73 TB

Reader specs:
1. ST1000DM003-1SB102 SCSI (931.51 GB)
2. NVMe CT500P1SSD8 SCSI (465.76 GB)
3. Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB SCSI (465.76 GB)
4. ST1000DM003-1ER162 SCSI (931.51 GB)
5. Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Network card
