Issue with Farcry 4 on Uplay
I recently purchased Farcry 4 but haven’t fully set it up. I installed it this evening and encountered an unusual problem. The game launches normally, yet it freezes on certain screens. It doesn’t crash completely, but it fails to transition to the main menu as expected. Once the intro appears, it plays the music continuously without progressing. The issue only appears when navigating through dynamic background menus—even though the program itself remains responsive. Alt+Tab resolves the problem. This seems to happen with any menu that features moving backgrounds. I’ve checked my game files and tried running it in compatibility mode, but it still doesn’t work. Have others faced similar difficulties?
Issue Frequently Encountered. FC4 Black Screen on Google. Windows 10 compatibility problems are common.
It's actually running version 7, though I did some research on it. It seems to have several issues overall.
I got that game for the 360 soon after its release. The only other one I’d tried was Instincts. FC3 and Blood Dragon were around $3 during the summer sale, so I also bought them on PC. I haven’t played Blood Dragon yet, though I managed to get it running a bit smoother. It seems the charging kit for my 360 controller didn’t work well with it. Every time I see a GPU maker’s logo, I guess I’m worried it’ll be broken.
