I recently updated Skyrim and explored adding mods with Nexus. I discovered an enb that looked promising but didn’t perform well in my game. Since I didn’t want to fix it, I tried deleting all the files I added, but that failed. I then reinstalled Fallout 3, which also crashed immediately when I launched it. I’m still trying to figure out what went wrong.

The uninstallation process through Steam doesn't delete all custom files, which could explain the crash. I recommend reopening the zip file and confirming every file is gone, paying close attention to the .dll files. Additionally, you might want to check the game's cache by right-clicking it in the library, selecting properties, then local files, and verifying integrity. This could help identify any download errors.

I resolved the issue but missed disabling games for Windows Live. I assumed it was already turned off.
