Issue with Dragon Age Origins video card problem
I put Dragon Age Origins on my new laptop after hearing it’s a great title. When I first opened it, everything ran smoothly. Now I’m facing an issue where the game won’t launch properly. The error message says it can’t detect a supported video card. My machine has a GTX 1050 with 4GB of memory. It looks like the game automatically uses the built-in CPU graphics as its default display adapter. It works in windowed mode, but crashes when I switch to fullscreen. I’ve adjusted the settings to use my GPU, changed the resolution to fit my monitor, and even used an HDMI-to-VGA adapter for my older screen, but nothing resolves the problem. I’m reaching out for advice—can you help me get this game running again?
Consider your needs carefully. Running your GTX 1050 continuously won’t affect your laptop’s performance, but it could increase power usage and heat if you’re not using it.
