Hi everyone. I often connect back to my home server via Tailscale, but sometimes it fails. I suspect this is because my local network shares the same IP range as my home network. The dynamic DNS on my router (Asus AC68U) works reliably, except for this new network where it keeps timing out occasionally. Tailscale handles it smoothly, and I can enter my public IP using the forwarded port without needing it. Even when I ping the dynamic DNS, it resolves to the public IP, so I’m not sure what’s causing the problem. I tried on my phone too and had the same issue. Any suggestions for troubleshooting?

Avoid this approach; consider separate IP ranges. This is probably the reason behind your DNS problems.
