I get this tearing randomly (cannot replicate it at all)
Occurs on discord/chrome (probably other applications but I haven't been using anything else recently)
I have the latest stable AMD drivers and I also upgraded to the latest 25.1.1 patch (both versions have the bug)
My monitor is a XV271U M3bmiiprx.
This is a brand new build. I was recording in OBS when the tearing occurred, and I realized that in the recording, the video came out PERFECTLY FINE and there was no tearing at all. However, on my screen it was visibly recording. As a result, I think its a monitor issue? Its brand new though.
I can fix the error by opening snipping tool then exiting immediately. Testing my pc on IGPU mode to see if its a gpu issue.

Do you have freesync activated? Also, I understand this might seem simple, but please check your display settings and confirm it’s set to 180hz—the specification mentioned online. When I first got my MSI 180hz monitor, Windows 11 initially tried to adjust it to 60hz until I changed the configuration. If you need, you should be able to access earlier versions of the AMD drivers to ensure they aren’t affecting the setup.

OBS records video straight from the source prior to sending it to your display. Tearing happens when your graphics card processes frames more quickly than your monitor can show them. The monitor shows frames from top to bottom, and if frames are generated faster than the screen can handle, it starts replacing the upper frames before completing the lower ones. To address this, using VSync aligns the graphics processing with the monitor’s refresh rate, ensuring a tear-free view, though it may add some input delay. Finding a balance is key, which is why tools like AMD FreeSync and Nvidia G-Sync are valuable options. View: https://youtu.be/5mWMP96UdGU
