Good afternoon, I’m facing some memory problems with my Dell Precision T3500. My usual configuration is 12GB split into six 2GB sticks, likely in triple channel mode. Out of these, four are from the HMD electronics brand and two are Samsung. I’ve run some basic tests to try to identify the issue. So far, when all six DIMMs power on, I see alerts like “Memory failure detected in DIMM 1” and warnings about non-optimal memory population. The system boots into Windows but only has about 4GB available. When I switch to just four HMD sticks, the PC beeps and then shuts down with a blank screen. With just two Samsung sticks, it shows an alert about non-optimal memory. I’ve noticed photos from HwInfo showing the memory is in single channel. It seems something has disrupted the HMD memory completely, even though it worked fine before. Could you help me figure this out? Any extra details would be really appreciated—thank you for your time.

Afternoon. It seems there might be a hardware issue, even if each component checks out on its own. Occasionally, a motherboard or CPU memory controller can give up and may not always be fixable. Perform testing with a brand-new set of memory to confirm the problem. If the board continues to show similar errors, it suggests the board or controller failed, usually affecting an entire channel. You can verify this by using a fresh CPU from the same manufacturer and model. Of course, double-check everything. Consider reinstalling the operating system and reversing any recent software or hardware modifications. Good luck!
